Old Facebook Messages

This shows you exactly how to review your old chat messages on Facebook. You can do this from within the Facebook Messenger application, or you can utilize the desktop Facebook site.

: > Log-in to your Facebook account. Click in the "Messages" switch at the top of the Facebook screen.

: > Click in the "Search Messages" field and go into a search term. Click on the "Search" button or press "Get in" on your key-board.

: > Scroll down the checklist of messages to discover the message. You might need to click "Load Older Thread" at the bottom of the screen to present more messages.

: > Sight archived messages by scrolling to the bottom of the web page as well as clicking the "Archived" link at the bottom of the page. Scroll with your archived messages, if required.

Tips: If you removed the message from Facebook Messenger, you likely will not have the ability to get them.

Cautions: You can not reply to archived messages.
