Facebook teams can have among three privacy levels: open, closed or secret. Any type of Facebook individual can join an open team, but group administrators have a better level of control over the personal privacy of shut and secret groups. You can just join a secret Facebook team if a mediator invites you to sign up with, but if you understand the URL of a shut team, you can ask to sign up with the team yourself by visiting its home page.

1. Log in to your Facebook account, and then browse to the major page of the group you intend to sign up with.

2. Click the "Join Group" switch in the team's main menu to send out a request to join the group.

3. Examine your notices. When a mediator of the group approves your subscription, Facebook sends you a notification of the approval and group articles quickly begin to appear in your news feed.

Caution: If the group's managers set its privacy levels to "Secret," you won't have the ability to see the team's home page or request to join. Rather, call a participant of the team as well as ask to be invited to join. When the mediators send you the invite, you must accept the invitation to join the group.
