View Old Facebook Messages

This shows you just how to review your old chat messages on Facebook. You can do this from within the Facebook Carrier application, or you can use the desktop Facebook site.

View Old Facebook Messages

: > Log-in to your Facebook account. Click in the "Messages" switch at the top of the Facebook display.

: > Click "See All."

: > Click in the "Search Messages" field as well as go into a search term. Click the "Search" switch or press "Get in" on your keyboard.

: > Scroll down the checklist of messages to locate the message. You might need to click on "Load Older Thread" at the bottom of the screen to display more messages.

: > Sight archived messages by scrolling to the bottom of the page as well as clicking the "Archived" web link at the end of the web page. Scroll with your archived messages, if needed.

Tips: If you deleted the message from Facebook Messenger, you likely will not be able to recover them.

Cautions: You can not reply to archived messages.
